STEPHANIE WOOD

Lic Ac; MBAcC; BSc Hons; Lic Tui Na
What the letters mean:
  • Lic Ac – Licentiate Diploma in Acupuncture
  • MBAcC – Member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC)
  • BSc Hons in Acupuncture (1st Class)
  • Lic Tui Na - Licentiate Diploma in Tui Na
I decided to study acupuncture and Tui Na after receiving successful treatment myself for many years. This positive experience inspired me to change my career away from an intense corporate environment and to follow a path in Chinese medicine. I graduated in 2008 with a first-class honours degree in Acupuncture from Portsmouth University and Licentiate Diplomas in Acupuncture and Tui Na from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture.
After graduating in summer 2008, I went on a post-graduate study trip for 3 months to Vietnam and China, where I gained invaluable clinical experience in private acupuncture clinics and hospitals and studied at Guangxi University of TCM and Chengdu University of TCM in China. In 2012, I visited China again to study with Dr. Wang Ju-Yi in Beijing. I have a post-graduate certificate in facial revitalisation acupuncture, which offers a holistic alternative to chemical and surgical treatments.

Since 2008, I have built up private practises in Redhill/Reigate and Ashtead. In Redhill/Reigate I work from a dedicated treatment room at home, this allows me flexibility with the appointment times I can offer.
“I went to see Steph at One Hundred Paths suffering with lower back pain and muscle spasms. I would recommend One
Hundred Paths to anyone in need of help, the treatment has made me feel like new!”

a partnership approach to healing

New Paragraph
I have undertaken additional studies in Paediatric Tui Na, natural conception and fertility, pregnancy support, chronic pain and menopausal support. I am qualified in the NADA ear acupuncture protocol, a treatment approach widely used in addiction clinics and in cancer support clinics. I ran a weekly low-cost pain clinic in South London and provided clinical supervision to acupuncture undergraduates.

I believe in a partnership approach to healing with treatment focused on the areas of greatest importance to my clients and incorporating appropriate lifestyle advice. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I adhere to a strict professional and ethical code of conduct and ongoing professional development.
“I would highly recommend seeing Steph if you ever have ANY ailments or just need a boost of energy. She's done absolute wonders for me.”

I have supported a number of local charities using acupuncture and Tui Na including a local NCT group, St Peter’s House in Redhill and the Olive Tree in Crawley.

I currently run a weekly acupuncture clinic at the Macmillan East Surrey Cancer Support Centre attached to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, providing acupuncture treatment for people undergoing treatment for cancer, recovering from cancer and supporting their families and carers.

Finally, I enjoy running, walking my dog, spin cycling, Pilates, live music and cricket, and I'm a big fan of trees.
